About

Emma is a software engineer and artist, currently living in New Mexico. She was born in Texas, and later moved to California and then New York City, where she took classes at Grand Central Atelier for several years. Both her experience as a programmer writing ray tracers and her classes at GCA with Devin Cecil-Wishing left her with an appreciation for approaching light and color in her paintings from a physically-based perspective. She works from life, with a particular fondness for still life.
